Some may say true freedom lives in the mind
No palace made of gold can truly make one feel the sublime
The destination calls and it’s whispering for more
Yet one arrives to learn the journey was reward...inside
A lightning bolt cracks open the sky
And then it’s gone in the blink of an eye
Another sunset on the horizon
To disappear fading into the night

Moments are here then rest in the past
Only so many grains in the hourglass
Longing for something to fill an empty space
Wishes granted yet the feeling still remains
The storm will lift and a patch of blue sky will appear
